
Pirates Begin Final Stretch, Friday at Georgetown

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Seton Hall women's basketball team (14-12, 6-9 BIG EAST) kicks off a crucial season-ending three-game road swing with a trip to the nation's capital on Friday morning. Tip-off against Georgetown (11-14, 5-9 BIG EAST) is set for 11 a.m. and will air on the BIG EAST Digital Network and FOX Sports app.Â
The Pirates are coming off a tough home weekend, falling to the league's top two in DePaul in Marquette. The Hoyas were in action just once over the weekend and fell at Villanova on Saturday. The Hall took the first meeting this season against the Hoyas back on Jan. 27 at Walsh Gym.Â

- Shadeen Samuels led the way for the Pirates with a game-high 28 points, adding nine rebounds and shooting 9-of-15 from the floor
- Nicole Jimenez and Inja Butina also finished in double-figures for the Pirates with 17 and 13 points, respectively
- The Hall forced 22 Georgetown turnovers and out-scored the Hoyas 22-9 off miscues as a huge factor in the win
- The Pirates also shot 12-of-26 from 3-point range, marking their most 3-pointers in a game during conference action
- Georgetown hosts The Hall with an 11-14 overall record, a 5-9 mark in BIG EAST play and an 8-5 record at home
- The Hoyas are in the midst of a three-game losing skid, but swept their last home weekend back on Feb. 1 and 3
- Dorothy Adomako leads the Hoyas with 15.7 points per game, followed closely by backcourt mate Dionna White at 14.8 per game
- Georgetown leads the BIG EAST in blocked shots per game with 4.7 and ranks second in the league in scoring defense, allowing 60.4 points per game
