In the first two days of conference play, Seton Hall overcame a 10-point deficit to win at DePaul, Providence held Georgetown scoreless for the first 6:22 of the game and led by as many as 33 points, and Butler built a 21-point lead at St. John's, blew the lead to fall behind by five and came back to win by two.
Yup, this league's going to be wild.
Seton Hall's got 17 more games in what is the best conference in college basketball, so buckle up, and remember, when you're visiting Prudential Center, get loud.
Friday's game will feature Brian Custer and Len Elmore as the FS1 broadcasters. Gary Cohen and Dave Popkin will control the airwaves on AM970 The Answer, simulcast on the Pirate Sports Network.
Three Things to Know About Friday Night vs. the Hoyas
 1. The Hall Must Slow Down the Hoyas Offense
Despite only scoring 60 points at Providence on Tuesday, Georgetown comes into this game as the BIG EAST's best scoring offense with 80.3 points per game. And even after some of the roster attrition, the Hoyas offense got better, averaging 86.8 points during its six-game December winning streak. Georgetown's offense may depend on Mac McClung's availability (he missed the Providence game with an injury), but the matchup to watch might be in the middle between Omer Yurtseven and Romaro Gill. Yurtseven is averaging 17.9 points, 10.1 rebounds and 1.8 blocks a game.Â
Â
2. What Will Myles Powell Do Next?
We're not even talking about the 27-point performance in Monday's win over DePaul; we're talking about what Powell will do against Georgetown. The senior is averaging a whopping 21.9 points in seven career games against the Hoyas, including 32.0 points in three meetings last season. He scored 29 in the first half of the BIG EAST Tournament quarterfinal alone. It's a new season and a different Hoyas team, but we're hoping Georgetown hasn't found the kryptonite.Â
 Â
3. Defend Without Fouling
Seton Hall's opponents are averaging 20.7 free throw attempts a game against the Pirates, who need to limit the amount of times they send the Hoyas to the line. Georgetown has a league-best 76.8 free throw shooting percentage, and McClung, Jahvon Blair and Jagan Mosely all shoot it better than 80 percent.Â
