Kingston, R.I. - The Pirates are beginning a three-game road trip Wednesday with an exciting matchup against the Rhode Island Rams. It's a rematch of a 2017 Preseason NIT game though only three players remain from that Thanksgiving Day in Brooklyn: URI's Fatts Russell and Seton Hall's Myles Cale and Sandro Mamukelashvili.

Rhode Island is Seton Hall's second KenPom top-80 opponent in the first three games with two more to go later this week as the Pirates continue to tune up for the rigors of the 20-game BIG EAST schedule. If rankings hold, 67 percent of Seton Hall's non-conference schedule would be against the KenPom top-100, which would be the highest percentage for the program in the KenPom era (2002-present).

The Pirates have been fueled by Sandro Mamukelashvili and Jared Rhoden, who each have 20 & 10 games under their belts this season. In head coach Kevin Willard's 11 years at The Hall, the Pirates now have had 32 instances of a 20 & 10 performance.

Seton Hall is looking to even up its road record after finishing 8-4 in road games last season. The game will be nationally televised on CBS Sports Network with Jason Horowitz and Steve Lappas on the call. Gary Cohen and Dave Popkin will be live from the Ryan Center for the radio broadcast to air on AM970 The Answer, simulcast on the Pirate Sports Network, XM 386 and TuneIn.
