SCOUTING BUTLER
The Bulldogs are coming off a successful 19-11 season overall and an 11-7 mark in BIG EAST play. They would've likely been a WNIT selection if the season wasn't prematurely ended. Butler ended its campaign with a regular season loss to Seton Hall at Walsh Gym before falling to the Pirates in the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST Championship. 83-57.
Â
This year, having lost a number of starters, the Bulldogs are expected to take a step back and finish eighth in the 11-team BIG EAST Conference, according to the Preseason Coaches' Poll.Â
Â
After starting the season with seven straight losses, the Bulldogs got into the win column in their last game. Butler slammed Georgetown, 58-40, on Wednesday. Genesis Parker led the way with 15 points, while Adika Okako had 13 points, eight rebounds and five assists.Â
