Pirates Open Season at BIG EAST Match Play, Monday

BELLEAIR, FLA. – The Seton Hall men's golf team will open the 2021 spring season with a BIG EAST Match Pay event at Pelican Golf Club, Feb. 1-2.

THE COURSE:
Pelican Golf Club combines the beauty of old-world courses of the past with state-of-the-art infrastructure. The course features manicured fairways and uninterrupted rough with greens and tees maintained at the highest levels.

You will not find a more striking course anywhere else in the region. Pelican Golf Course is the first location on the west coast of Florida to have Latitude 36 Bermudagrass on all fairways. Latitude 36 keeps its vibrant green color during the winter months for much longer than other courses, which ensures gorgeous grounds all season long.

THE FIELD:
Four BIG EAST schools will compete at the BIG EAST Match Play, Connecticut, DePaul, Marquette and Seton Hall. Each team will play two matches on Monday and one match on Tuesday with six golfers competing.

TEE TIMES:
Seton Hall will begin the event against DePaul in the morning of Feb. 1 with tee times beginning at 8:00 a.m. off the first tee. In the afternoon, the Pirates will compete against Connecticut. On Feb. 2, The Hall will round out the event with a match against Marquette.
