The Hall will play two rounds at Saint Andrew's Golf Club Starting Monday.
HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Seton Hall women' golf team will return to action this weekend for two rounds of golf at the 2021 St. John's Invitational at historic Saint Andrew's Golf Club in New York.
Â
Tournament Details:
ST. JOHN'S INVITATIONAL
Host:Â St. John's University
Location:Â Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.
Course:Â Saint Andrew's Golf Club
Course Vitals:Â Par-71, 5,811 yards
Dates:Â October 25-26, 2021, Two Rounds
Â
The Course:
The magnificent golf course of the Saint Andrew's Golf Club has been shaped by the skill and imagination of three renowned designers over the course of its nearly 115 years of operation. Today's layout, a challenging 6600-yard, par 71, 18 hole course rated at 146, is largely the product of a Jack Nicklaus Signature redesign undertaken over the years 1983-85. But a number of the original holes remain in play, largely unchanged. And a number of holes have been subsequently refined in an unceasing effort to enhance the aesthetic beauty of the course and enrich the playing experience.
Â
The Field:
In addition to Seton Hall and host St. John's, the small field is comprised of seven other teams including: Albany, Columbia, Hartford, LIU, Quinnipiac, Sacred Heart and Yale. Individuals from Rutgers will also compete.
Â
The Format:
Teams will play five golfers and count the four lowest scores per round.
Â
The Lineup:
Seton Hall will be bringing the entire team to compete at Delaware. The lineup and list of individuals is below, in order as indicated:
Â
Last Time Out:
Junior Ludovica Busetto (Padova, Italy) again had the top Pirate round, shooting a 2-over-par, 74, on Oct. 17 to lift the Pirates to a ninth-place finish at the Delaware Lady Blue Hen Invitational. Busetto had two birdies and 13 pars in route to a 2-over-par score in the final round. For the tournament, she narrowly missed her first career top-10 finish, tying for 12th among 72 individual golfers with a 10-over-par, 75-77-74-226. Busetto finished just five strokes behind the individual champion, Princeton's Tiffany Kong.
Â
As a team, the Pirates moved up one spot on the final day to finish ninth after a third-round 22-over-par, 310. For the tournament, The Hall was 63-over-par with a 312-305-310-927. Princeton won the team title at 27-over-par. BIG EAST opponents Georgetown and St. John's finished at 54-over-par, and 60-over-par respectively.Â
Â
Last Time at Saint Andrew's:
Seton Hall hasn't played this tournament since the fall of 2014, but they were highly successful. It marked the first time that the Pirates won a team and individual title on the same day. Former Pirate Cassie Pantelas won the individual title and lifted the team to a 15-stroke victory.
Â
Pantelas entered the day trailing by one stroke, but went on to win the event by seven strokes over St. John's Anna Kim. Pantelas shot a 1-over-par, 74-69-143, to win her first career title in only her fourth collegiate tournament.
Â
Collectively, it wasn't close. Seton Hall entered the final round trailing LIU-Brooklyn by one stroke, but was eight strokes better in round two, while LIU was far worse. The Pirates finished with a 46-over-par, 311-303-614 to win the event by 15 strokes over second place Rutgers.Â
Â
The Schedule:
The field will play one round on each Monday and Tuesday. Monday's start will begin with tee times beginning at 8:45 a.m. off hole No. 1. Tuesday's final round will begin with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m.

Complete results will be available following each day's competition at Golfstat.com and SHUpirates.com.
