Bronx, N.Y. - Junior Nancy Habib (Clifton, N.J.) completed her breakout season with a 5K time of 19:08, her second-best run of the year, to lead the Seton Hall women's cross country team at the 2021 ECAC Championship, Saturday at Van Cortlandt Park. Habib placed 24th overall in the race, and the Pirates as a team finished 10th.
Habib's time at ECAC was second only to her 5K time of 18:05 back at the NJIT Invitational on Oct. 2. She ended up being the first Pirate to cross the finish line in all nine races this season with six top-25 overall finishes and three individual championship wins.
Freshman Taj Lanier (Lincoln University, Pa.) was the second Pirate to complete the race with a time of 19:51 to place 53rd. Just six seconds behind her was fellow freshman Julia Smith (Pittsgrove, N.J.) who was 56th overall.
