Â
The second quarter, however, was a much different story, after St. Thomas Aquinas scored the first bucket to give them an 18-14 advantage, the Pirates took off on a game-changing 39-5 run, which included separate 15-0 and 14-0 bursts. A made three-pointer by Jackson, the Pirates' eighth of the quarter, with two seconds before the buzzer, sent The Hall into halftime up, 56-25.
Â
The Hall outscored STAC, 42-9, and were 73.7% from the floor, including 8-for-11 from three-point range in the game-defining second quarter.
Â
Seton Hall kept the throttle down to open the second half. After the Spartans scored the first basket, the Pirates went on 19-0 run, and a layup by Espinoza-Hunter gave them a commanding 74-27 lead. From there, the lead never got less than 40 points and The Hall went on for the easy victory.
