THE GAME
Seton Hall will open the 2021-22 season on Tuesday, November 9 when it hosts Mount St. Mary's at newly-renovated Walsh Gymnasium. Â Tip time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.Â

The game will be streamed live by the Pirate Sports Network and shown on FloSports with Matt Ambrose and Phil Stern on the call. As usual, the game will also be available over the airwaves at 89.5 FM WSOU and at wsou.net. Chris Kiely and Jimmy Bliss will describe the action on the radio. Live stats will also be available.

Mya Jackson (Wilmington, Ohio), Andra Espinoza-Hunter (Ossining, N.Y.) and Lauren Park-Lane (Wilmington, Del.) all had at least 17 points as the Pirates defeated St. Thomas Aquinas, 107-50, in exhibition action on Friday.

Jackson led the way for the Pirates with a game-high 18 points on the strength of four made three-pointers. Both Espinoza-Hunter and Park-Lane poured in 17 points. Espinoza-Hunter had five made three-pointers, while Park-Lane added seven assists and five steals.

Two other Pirates making their game debuts with The Hall, Curtessia Dean (Monroe, La.) and Katie Armstrong (Collegeville, Pa.), also scored in double-figures. Dean had 13 points to go with seven rebounds, while Armstrong had 10 points and nine rebounds.

SCOUTING MOUNT ST. MARY'S
Mount St. Mary's is coming off a highly-successful abbreviated 2020-21 season. The Mountaineers finished with a 17-7 overall record and the Northeast Conference championship. Mount St. Mary's had their season come to an end with a 98-45 loss to No. 2 Maryland in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

This season, the Mountaineers are predicted to repeat as NEC champions according to the NEC preseason coaches poll. Graduate student Kendall Bresee returns and was named to the All-NEC Preseason Team. Last season, she was named NEC Defensive Player of the Year and led the Mountaineers in both scoring and rebounding.

Eight letterwinners return this including the team's top three scorers.
