
Pirates Win 200 Medley Relay, Start Strong on Day One

Geneva, Ohio – The Seton Hall men's swimming team excelled in the pool on Wednesday night as they wrapped up Day One of the 2021 BIG EAST Swimming and Diving Championships.
The Pirates came out hot winning their first event of the night in the 200 Medley Relay. The team of Ross Pantano (Bennington, Neb.), Thomas Staes (Berlaar, Belgium), Liam Cosgrove (Sea Girt, N.J.) and Thomas Minar (Oxford, Conn.) won the event in a time of 1:29.39, just shy of the program record of 1:29.08.
Despite leading for most of the race and being the first to touch the wall in the 800 Free Relay, the Pirates were disqualified from the final event of opening night.
