Â
Tournament Details:
JAN WEAVER INVITATIONAL
Host:Â Murray State University
Location:Â Murray, Ky.
Course:Â Miller Memorial Golf Course
Course Vitals:Â Par-72, 6,024 yards
Dates:Â April 9-10, 2021
Â
THE COURSE:
Frances E. Miller Memorial Golf Course presents a unique challenge for competitive and recreational golfers alike. Heralded as one of the west Kentucky lakes region's finest courses, Miller Memorial offers a variety of challenges for the most discriminating golfer.
Â
Measuring 6,592 yards from the championship tees, the par-71 layout has two distinct nines which require a wide array of shot-making. The outward nine is set on hilly terrain and requires pinpoint accuracy from tee to green, whereas the inward half rewards length and accurate long iron play.
Â
The longest hole on the course, the par-five 17th, is 535 yards long, while the shortest hole is the par-three 16th, measuring 171 yards. Professionally manicured MiniVerde Ultradwarf Bermuda Grass Greens are surrounded by 50 sand bunkers, with three scenic water hazards also coming into play. The fairways feature automatically watered Bermuda grass.
Â
THE FIELD:
In addition to Seton Hall and host Murray State, the field features 11 other teams including: Austin Peay State, Belmont, Bradley, Central Arkansas, Dayton, Eastern Kentucky, Evansville, Georgia State, Stamford, Southern Illinois and Tennessee Tech.
