
Bechadergue, Fouratt Pace Pirates on Saturday at Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. – Margot Bechadergue (Aix-en-Provence, France) and Sarah Fouratt (Santa Maria, Calif.) are 1-over-par through two rounds and have paced the Seton Hall women's golf team to a second-place standing at the Princeton Invitational entering Sunday's final round.
Bechadergue had an outstanding start to her day, using seven birdies to shoot a 3-under-par, 69, in round one. She was just one shot off the individual lead after 18 holes, but struggled a bit in round two. In the afternoon, she was 4-over-par with a 76. Through two rounds, she has a 1-over-par, 69-76-145.
Fouratt's better round was in the afternoon. After a first-round 2-over-par, 74, the senior collected three birdies and 13 pars in round two for a 1-under-par, 145. She's tied with Bechadergue for sixth place among 70 individual golfers with a 1-over-par, 74-71-145. Fouratt's second-round performance today is the fourth sub-par round of her career.
As a team, Seton Hall was consistent throughout the day. The Pirates shot a 4-over-par, 292, in round one, and managed to shave a stroke off for a 3-over-par, 291, in round two. The Hall enters Sunday's final round in second place with a 7-over-par, 292-291-583. It's 15 strokes behind the host and team leaders, Princeton. Seton Hall's lone BIG EAST competition, St. John's, is currently in ninth place at 30-over-par.
Sophomore Ginevra Ricciardelli (Rome, Italy) and junior Ludovica Busetto (Padova, Italy) are also tied after two rounds at 4-over-par. Ricciardelli shot a 5-over-par, 77, in round one, but bounced back with four birdies and a 1-under-par round two. Currently, she is 4-over-par with a 77-71-148. Busetto had three birdies and 12 pars in route to an even-par, 72, in the morning. In the afternoon, she had four birdies, but settled with a 4-over-par, 76. For the tournament, Busetto is 4-over-par with a 72-76-148. Both Pirates are tied for 18th place.
Freshman Ana Sarrias Pro (Cadiz, Spain) had a rough start to her day, logging a 9-over-par, 81, in the morning, but rebounded nicely in the afternoon. In round two, she had four birdies in route to a 1-over-par, 73. Currently, she is 10-over-par with an 81-73-154.

Dating back to 1895, Springdale Golf Club is one of the oldest in New Jersey. Designed by Gerard Lambert and revised by William Flynn in 1926, the walkable course requires precision shot-making and has superior conditions and playability. The property, which was originally private farmland, was purchased by the Class of 1886 and gifted to Princeton University with the expectation of establishing one of the first courses in the region. The private club has a close relationship with the University, and counts many university professors, administrators and students among its members. With a fine and experienced PGA staff, the club hosts numerous tournaments, collegiate matches, clinics and golf outings every year.
The Format:
Teams will play five golfers and count the four lowest scores per round.
The Field:
In addition to Seton Hall and two teams from host Princeton, the field is comprised of 10 other teams including: Albany, Columbia, Dartmouth, Fairleigh Dickinson, Harvard, Penn, Rollins and Yale. A pair of BIG EAST opponents, Georgetown and St. John's are also in the field.
Schedule:
The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The field will play two continuous rounds. The Pirates will be paired with golfers from Princeton and Yale on Saturday. On Sunday, the field will play one final round, also with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m.
