Habib Takes Third, Pirates Take Second at Salisbury

Bethlehem, Pa. -Â The Seton Hall women's cross country team took second at the 2021 Salisbury University Fall Classic in Salisbury, Md., at Winterplace Park on Saturday.
Nancy Habib (Clifton, N.J.) led the Pirates with a third overall finish in a time of 22.51.47. Following Habib in the top 10 was freshman Taj Lanier (Lake Como, N.J.) in fifth place with a time of 22.58.91, freshman Julia Smith (Pittsgrove, N.J.) in eighth place with a time of 23:07.67 and Arianna Braccio (Nashua, N.H.) in 10th with a time of 23:11.73.
Rounding out the Pirates' top five finishers was Abigail Hughes (Staten Island, N.Y.) who finished 12th overall with a time of 23:16.93. Also finishing for The Hall was Emma Newgarden (Staten Island, N.Y.), Amelia Carson, Lauren Ginefra (Budd Lake, N.J.), Kate Cochran (Sewell, N.J.), Brianna Peiffer, Danielle Becker (Manalapan, N.J.), Amanda Houston (Randolph, N.J.) and Rica Ongsiako (Matawan, N.J.).
Next up for the Pirates, they will travel down to Logan Township, N.J., to take part in the Bill Fritz Invitational hosted by Rowan University next Saturday.
