South Orange, N.J. - Seton Hall has launched an official marketplace for Pirates student-athletes to maximize their name, image and likeness (NIL) potential. The Opendorse-powered marketplace is a one-stop shop for fans and brands to browse, book, pitch and pay any Seton Hall student-athlete for NIL activities in one compliant platform, built specifically for student-athletes.
Every Seton Hall student-athlete can create a profile on the marketplace, which they can customize and promote to fans on their personal social media channels. Pirates student-athletes will have the ability to review opportunities and agree to deals that will allow them to capitalize on their name, image and likeness.
With Seton Hall University located in the New York City market that has a Gross Metropolitan Product (GMP) of $2.1 trillion, Seton Hall student-athletes are well positioned to take advantage of the new marketplace and capitalize on the power of being a Seton Hall University student in the world's largest metropolitan economy.
"We are excited to launch our Opendorse marketplace that centralizes name, image and likeness opportunities for all our student-athletes," Seton Hall Director of Athletics and Recreation Bryan Felt said. "We are committed to giving our student-athletes the resources they need to succeed, and we believe this is an efficient platform that will allow companies and fans to connect directly with student-athletes and engage them in NIL activity."
Seton Hall Athletics also continues to provide important NIL education through its COMPASS platform, giving student-athletes the information and tools they need to navigate their name, image and likeness opportunities.
Fans and brands who would like to begin partnering with student-athletes on NIL deals should visit SHUPirates.com/NILmarketplace.
