How It Happened – Game One vs. Furman
- After opening the game with a pair of strikeouts at the plate, the Pirates found their way to a two-out rally in the first. After a single and a walk, Naya Martinez ripped a triple down the right field line to score both runners and put Seton Hall up 2-0 at the end of the first.
- In a continuation of her strong opening day showing, Angelina Benitez drove home another run in the second inning to make it a 3-0 game.
- Returning to the plate in the fourth, Martinez took the first pitch she saw deep over the wall in left center, turning the game into a 4-0 Seton Hall lead.
- After three clean innings from Rachael Schumann, Kyra Kreuscher entered the circle for the Pirates. Despite giving up a run, The Hall maintained a 4-1 lead heading into the fifth.
- In the fifth inning, Seton Hall quickly loaded the bases with no outs, presenting the team with a great opportunity to add to the lead. Lea Kosinksi and Caroline Hobbes each recorded a sacrifice fly to make it a 6-1 game, but the team could add no more before the inning's end.
- While Furman plated another two runs before the game's end, the Pirates secured the 6-3 victory after seven innings.
- Once again, Seton Hall struck first in the opening frame. With two outs, DeMarco laced an RBI double in the gap to put the Pirates up 1-0.
- Winthrop found an equalizer on an RBI triple in the top of the third inning to make it a 1-1 game.
- The Pirates immediately responded in the bottom of the frame, however, when Ginex and DeMarco each drove in a run to put The Hall back in front, 3-1.
- An inning later, the lead grew again after a two-run single from Benitez and a Winthrop error made it 6-1 in favor of the Pirates.
- Yet, despite the lead, things began to go wrong in the top of the fifth for the Pirates. Despite a pitching change mid-inning, The Hall gave up 6 runs and lost the lead, 7-6.
- Two innings later in the bottom of the seventh, Seton Hall was still staring down a one-run deficit and at risk of losing the team's undefeated run at the Paladin Invitational. After getting two runners on with one out, Perez lifted a double into left-center, sending both runners home and securing an 8-7 walk-off win over Winthrop.
