Seton Hall will return to action on Friday, February 4 when it hosts Xavier at newly-renovated Walsh Gymnasium. Tip time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET.Â

LAST GAME
The Seton Hall women's basketball team set a program and BIG EAST Conference single-game record with 19 made three-pointers in a 91-62 rout of Georgetown in Walsh Gym on Wednesday, which snapped a three-game losing streak.

The Pirates got huge efforts from three of their stars with Andra Espinoza-Hunter (Ossining, N.Y.) leading the way. The graduate student tied her season high with a game-best 25 points on the strength of 7-for-9 shooting from three-point range. Junior Lauren Park-Lane (Wilmington, Del.) notched her third career double-double with 20 points and a game-high 10 assists, while Mya Jackson (Wilmington, Ohio) notched a season-high 17 points, fueled by five made three-pointers.

In all, the Pirates were 19-for-31 (.613) from three-point range to set the program record by two.

Seton Hall led for the vast majority of the contest, and pulled away with a game-defining 19-4 run in the second quarter.

LAST YEAR AGAINST XAVIER
Seton Hall swept the season series with Xavier during the abbreviated 2020-21 season, winning big twice with an average margin of victory of 34.5 points per contest.

On Feb. 24, The Hall set program records for points and three-pointers made in a 108-65 rout of Xavier at the Cintas Center. Four Pirates scored at least 17 points, and Lauren Park-Lane set the Seton Hall single-game record with 15 assists. The dynamic Pirate point guard added 17 points to collect her first career double-double. Combined, the Pirates drained a new Seton Hall-record 17 three-pointers.

On Jan. 23, Andra Espinoza-Hunter erupted for a game-high 28 points and the Pirates cruised to an 85-59 victory over Xavier in Walsh Gym. The Pirates trailed for only 16 seconds in the game.

SCOUTING XAVIER
The Musketeers are coming off a 5-10 abbreviated 2020-21 season. Their season came to an end with a 65-57 loss to St. John's in the opening round of the BIG EAST Tournament.

This year, Xavier is predicted to finish 10th in the 11-team BIG EAST Conference, according to the Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Musketeers return two of their top three scorers from last season in Nia Clark and Kae Satterfield.

Xavier enters Friday's game with a 9-10 overall record, including a 2-9 mark for the BIG EAST slate. The Musketeers' conference victories came against Butler on Dec. 29 and an overtime victory at Georgetown on Jan. 28. Most recently, Xavier fell at St. John's, 83-63, on Wednesday. Ayanna Townsend led the team with 15 points and eight rebounds.
