BOCA RATON, FLA. – The Seton Hall women's golf team will begin the 2022 spring season with three rounds at the 2022 FAU Paradise Invitational at Osprey Point Golf Course, Feb. 7-8.

The Course:
Having received numerous awards since its opening in 2010, Osprey Point Golf Course is one of the top public golf courses in Florida. Featuring 27 holes spread out in three nine-hole courses, Osprey Point provides a serene setting with a Platinum Paspalum turf, which presents a lush playing surface from tee to green.

The Field:
In addition to Seton Hall and host Florida Atlantic, the field is comprised of 13 other teams including: Arkansas State, Colorado State, Florida, Florida Gulf Coast, Florida International, James Madison, Loyola-Chicago, Mississippi State, Missouri, North Florida, South Florida, USTA, Vanderbilt.

The Format:
Teams will play five golfers and count the four lowest scores per round.

The Lineup:
Seton Hall will be bringing the following lineup to Boca Raton:
Two years ago, former Pirate Mia Kness shot an even-par, 72, in the final round to finish second among 81 individual golfers and lift the Pirates to a second-place team finish at the 2020 FAU Winter Warm-Up. Kness ended the first tournament of the spring just one stroke behind the individual champion, Yale's Ami Gianchandani. For the three-round event, Kness shot a 1-under-par, 73-70-72-215.Â

Seton Hall, the team leader through two rounds, was caught on the final day by Arkansas State. The Pirates shot a respectable 9-over-par, 297, in round three, but the Red Wolves carded a strong 4-under-par, 284. As a result, the Pirates finished second, three strokes behind Arkansas State, with a 17-over-par, 291-293-297-881.

The Schedule:
The field will play two continuous rounds on Monday, and one, final round on Tuesday. For Monday's rounds, the Pirates will be paired with golfers from Colorado State and Florida Gulf Coast with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. Sunday's final round pairings will be determined by the golfers' Saturday performance with a shotgun start also at 8:00 a.m.
