Colorado Springs, Colo. - Both the men's and women's swimming and diving teams were named to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America's Scholar All-America Teams for the Spring 2022 semester the organization announced on Monday. The Pirates have now earned Scholar All-America team honors in each of the 10 semesters that head coach Derek Sapp has been at the helm.
Selection for the honor was based on cumulative team GPA for the spring semester, in which, both the men and women qualified at 3.47 and 3.64, respectively.
Both the men's and women's teams continue to excel in the classroom on a cumulative basis as well. The women's team boasts a 3.678 cumulative GPA, third highest in the athletics department, and the men's team stands at 3.417.
