
Rane Leads Pirates as Battle at the Beach Concludes

REHOBOTH BEACH, DEL. – Freshman Renee Rane (New Delhi, India) shot a 6-over-par, 78, in round three to pace the Seton Hall women's golf team to an 11th place finish at the 2023 Battle at the Beach at Rehoboth Beach, Del.

Rane had a birdie and 11 pars to fuel a 6-over-par, 78, in Sunday's final round. She was the top Pirate performer for the tournament, tying for 29th place with a 16-over-par, 76-78-78-232. Delaware's Alisa Knokhlova won the individual title at 2-under-par.

As a team, The Hall shot a 29-over-par, 317, in round three. For the tournament, it was 82-over-par with a 316-313-317-946. Harvard won the team title at 15-over-par. Fellow BIG EAST competitor, St. John's, finished at 74-over-par.

Senior Ginevra Zavagli (Rome, Italy) had a birdie and 10 pars in route to a 7-over-par, 79, on Sunday. For the three-round event, Zavagli tied for 34th with a 19-over-par, 79-77-79-235.

Junior Ana Sarrias Pro (Cadiz, Spain) collected three birdies in round three and finished with a 7-over-par, 79. For the event, she tied for 40th with a 21-over-par, 78-80-79-237.

Sophomore Lara Todorovic (Belgrade, Serbia) finished the tournament with a 9-over-par, 81, on Sunday. For the event, she was 29-over-par with an 83-81-81-245.

Sophomore Anne-Sofie Ekman (Copenhagen, Denmark) carded a 12-over-par, 84, on Sunday. She also finished the tournament at 29-over-par, but she shot an 83-78-84-245.

In addition to Seton Hall and host Delaware, the field was comprised of nine other teams including: Columbia, Delaware State, Harvard, Navy, Pennsylvania, Quinnipiac, Rutgers and William & Mary. BIG EAST opponent St. John's is also in the field.

Teams played five golfers and count the four lowest scores per round.
