2023 BIG EAST TOURNAMENT
It's the third straight season that Seton Hall and Creighton have hooked up in the quarterfinals as part of the No. 3 vs. No. 6 game. In 2021, third-seeded Seton Hall was upset by No. 6 Creighton. In 2022 however, the sixth-seeded Pirates upset No. 3 Creighton.
Â
Seton Hall is 26-37 all-time in the BIG EAST Tournament. They are 1-0 all-time against Xavier in the event, with a 66-42 rout of the Musketeers in the first round of the 2018 tournament in Chicago.Â
Â
The Pirates have never won the BIG EAST Tournament, but have advanced to the finals four times, including most recently at the 2015 event when the top-seeded Hall fell to No. 2 DePaul.
