Ashly Colonnetta Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK – Ashly Colonnetta (Cypress, Texas) has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the conference announced on Monday.
Colonnetta batted .556 over the Pirates' series win against Butler over the weekend, posting a pair of multi-hit performances. The senior's highlight of the weekend came on Friday when she had a walk-off infield single to deliver Seton Hall a 2-1 win in the series opener. Colonnetta would also cross the plate twice in the series and collected two more hits in the series finale on Sunday.
Colonnetta and the Pirates will open their BIG EAST Tournament on Wednesday when they take on No. 6 seed DePaul at 3 p.m. in Storrs, Conn.
