South Orange, N.J. – After a season filled with individual records in which the team just missed the postseason, the Seton Hall softball team will look to bounce back and secure another postseason berth in the 2026 season. Head coach Angie Churchill announced the full spring schedule on Friday, featuring 53 games against 25 opponents.
In 2025, The Hall (29-23 overall,11-13 in BIG EAST) logged their third-consecutive winning season for the first time since the Pirates' 2004-06 seasons. However, despite the winning record, the team missed out on the postseason in the final weekend on tiebreakers.
Despite not making the postseason, The Hall's players gathered many individual honors and records last season. Sophomore outfielder Katey Brennan broke Taylor Hill's record for most runs scored in a single season. Hill herself set a new school record for career doubles. Alongside them, Olivia Gilbert broke the single-season RBI record, while Kelsey Carr set new school records for single-season and career walks. By season's end, Carr and Gilbert, in addition to pitcher Kyra Kreuscher and second baseman Caroline Hobbes, landed on the All-BIG EAST Second Team. However, Carr, Hill and Gilbert are not on the team this season after graduating in the spring.
Seton Hall is set to face a tough non-conference slate against 16 opponents in 2026. Of those 16 programs, three qualified for the NCAA Tournament last season and won a combined five games. Overall, the Pirates are set to face off against 11 teams that finished .500 or better last season.

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS
- Seton Hall will open the 2026 season at the Frank Griffin Classic, hosted by Stetson University, in DeLand, Fla., from February 6-7. The Pirates' first game will come against Indiana State at 12 p.m. on February 6, followed by Stetson later that day. The Pirates will close out their stint in Florida the following day with another game against Stetson and one against UT Martin.
- After a week off, the Pirates will travel back south to the 23rd Annual Georgia Classic, hosted by the University of Georgia, in Athens, Ga., from February 14-16. After opening with a pair of games against the Hokies and one against the Bulldogs, The Hall will close out the weekend with back-to-back games against Utah State.
- Seton Hall will close out tournament play with a trip to Greenville, S.C., to compete in the Paladin Invitational, hosted by Furman University. During their three days here, the Pirates will face the host Paladins once, while facing George Mason and Winthrop twice each.
- Immediately after the tournament, Seton Hall will return to South Orange to face Drexel in a season-opening doubleheader on March 4 at 2 p.m. Under Coach Churchill, the Pirates are 3-1 in home openers.
- The remainder of home non-conference action will see the Pirates play a home-and-home against Rutgers (home on March 24, road on April 22), a home doubleheader against Rider (March 19) and single games against Stony Brook (March 3). The Hall will also play a series of road doubleheaders against Wagner (March 11), Rider (March 17) and Army (April 8).
- BIG EAST play will open at home for the second straight season when the Pirates play host to the Creighton Blue Jays. The Blue Jays, who swept the Pirates in three hotly contested games to close last season, will play at Mike Sheppard Sr. Field to open conference play from March 6-8. During Coach Angie Churchill's tenure, the Pirates hold a 7-5 record against Creighton.
