INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – Sophomore Senna Roberts-Navarro (Honolulu, Hawaii) erupted for career-highs of 19 kills and 14 digs, but the Seton Hall women's volleyball team fell at Butler, 3-1 (20-25, 25-17, 27-29, 21-25) on Friday.

With the match tied at one set apiece, the Pirates jumped out to a 24-17 third set lead, but the Bulldogs rallied to tie the set at 24, and eventually won the swing third-set, 29-27, to take control of the match.

Roberts-Navarro had a career-best match with 19 kills, 14 digs, and also five blocks. Senior Maddie Klungel (Napa, Calif.) had a double-double with 38 assists and 16 digs to go with two kills and two blocks.

SET 1:
A kill by Perri Lucas (Chicago, Ill.) gave The Hall a 15-13 lead in set one, but Butler bounced back with five straight points to take a three-point lead. The Pirates couldn't find the equalizer. A kill by Roberts-Navarro cut Seton Hall's lead to 20-19, but the Bulldogs closed out the set with a 5-1 run. Butler took the opening set, 25-20.

SET 2:
Leading 8-5, The Hall scored five straight, and a block by Roberts-Navarro gave it a 13-5 advantage. After two Butler points, the Pirates collected four straight points and another kill by Roberts-Navarro gave them a 17-7 lead. The Bulldogs cut their deficit to 20-16, but The Hall closed the set with a 5-1 run and a kill by Lucas gave the Pirates a 25-17 victory. The Hall held Butler to a .000 attack percentage in set two.

SET 3:
The Pirates led for the majority of the third set, and a block by Subasili and Maddy Loiselle (Tampa, Fla.) gave them set point at 24-17. Butler, however, rallied with seven straight points to tie the set at 24. The Bulldogs then staved off two set points before winning a dramatic 29-27 set three victory.

SET 4:
An ace by Asli Subasili (Tekirdag, Turkiye) gave The Hall an early 2-1 lead, but Butler bounced back and never trailed again. Seton Hall remained close, but couldn't find the equalizer. A kill by Maddy Loiselle (Tampa, Fla.) cut the Pirates' deficit to 23-21, but the Bulldogs bounced back and scored the final two points of the match.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

Roberts-Navarro had career-highs of 19 kills and 14 digs to go with five blocks.
Klungel had a double-double with 38 assists, 16 digs, two kills and two blocks.
Loiselle had 11 kills and a career-best five blocks.
Seton Hall recorded a .171 attack percentage for the match, while Butler attacked at .159.
The Pirates had 45 kills, while Butler had 55.
The Hall recorded 76 digs, while the Bulldogs had 77.
Seton Hall collected 15.0 blocks and Butler had 10.0.

NEWS & NOTES:

The Hall falls to 8-11 overall on the season and 2-6 in the BIG EAST, while Butler improves to 4-15 overall and 2-5 in conference play.
Seton Hall is now 7-14 all-time against the Bulldogs.
With eight kills today, Lucas moves past former Pirate Danielle Schroeder into Seton Hall's top-10 in career kills. She now has 1,049 kills for her career.
With 38 assists today, Klungel surpassed the remarkable milestone of 2,000 career assists.
Klungel topped 30 assists in a single-match today for the ninth match in a row and the 13^th time in her career.
The Hall falls to 5-7 this season in four-set matches this season.
Klungel's double-double is her seventh of the season and the 13^th of her career.
Seton Hall had at least 10.0 blocks in a single-match for the seventh time this season.
The Hall's 15.0 blocks are season-high.
