
Sarrias Shines on Day Two of Columbia Classic

The junior fired a 2-under-par, 70, for her second career sub-par round.
MELBOURNE, FLA. – Junior Ana Sarrias Pro (Cadiz, Spain) fired a 2-under-par, 70, to lead the Seton Hall women's golf team in round two of the 2024 Columbia Classic on Sunday.

Sarrias Pro only had two blemishes on an otherwise brilliant second round. She collected four birdies and 12 pars in route to her second career sub-par round. Sarrias Pro's strong effort vaulted her up the individual leader board into a tie for seventh place after two rounds. For the tournament, she is even-par with a 74-70-144.

Although Sarrias Pro's effort was the best of the tournament so far for the Pirates, as a team, The Hall took a step back in round two. Seton Hall shot a 22-over-par, 310, on Sunday. After 36 holes, the Pirates are in 13th place at 37-over-par with a 303-310-613. Penn State currently leads the field at 1-over-par. Seton Hall's lone BIG EAST competition, St. John's, is currently in 11th place, four strokes ahead of The Hall.

Senior Ginevra Zavagli (Rome, Italy) had a birdie and 12 pars in route to a 5-over-par, 77, in round two. For the tournament, she is tied for 54th place at 11-over-par with a 78-77-155.

Among those tied with Zavagli is teammate Renee Rane (New Delhi, India). The freshman had two birdies and nine pars to fuel a 6-over-par, 78, on Sunday. She is also 11-over-par with a 77-78-155.

Sophomore Lara Todorovic (Belgrade, Serbia) had the final counted round for the Pirates on Sunday. She finished with a 13-over-par, 85. For the tournament, she's 27-over-par with an 86-85-171.

Rounding out the lineup, sophomore Anne-Sofie Ekman (Copenhagen, Denmark) tallied a 14-over-par, 86. Through 36 holes, she has a 16-over-par, 74-86-160.

Competing as an individual, freshman Kasumi Tran (Swansea, Wales) had a 15-over-par, 87, on Sunday. For the tournament, she is 31-over-par with an 88-87-175.

THE FORMAT:
Teams will play five golfers and count the four lowest scores per round.

THE SCHEDULE:
The field will play 18 holes of golf per day for three days. Round one and two, on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, will start with tee times off holes No. 1 and No. 10 beginning at 8:00 a.m. Monday's final round will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
