9/30/2024 9:31:00 PM | Men's Golf
FARMINGTON, PA. – Three Pirates shot a 2-over-par, 74, to lift the Seton Hall men's golf team to a fifth-place team standing after round one of the 2024 Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational on Monday. Round two was halted due to darkness with the Pirates three holes from completion.
Â
Senior George Fricker (Woodbridge, England) had two birdies and 12 pars, freshman Will Hennessee (Tulsa, Okla.) had a birdie and 14 pars, while sophomore Eli Shah (Newtown Square, Pa.) notched three birdies and 10 pars to lead the Pirates.
Â
Despite the rain, Seton Hall put up a solid 14-over-par, 302, in the first round as a team. Although the Pirates were in fifth place after round one, they're currently even-par through 14 holes in round two.
Â
Senior Patrick Kahanek (San Antonio, Texas) had an up-and-down first round, which featured five birdies, but nine bogeys. He finished with an 8-over-par, 80.
Â
Sophomore Isaiah Williams (Flemington, N.J.) had a solid round, with the exception of real difficulty on the par-4, No. 9 hole. He also finished with an 8-over-par, 80.
