
Freshman Arumugam Paces Pirates to Fourth at Lafayette

Easton, Pa. - Freshman Aakash Arumugam (Rockland, Calif.) was the top Seton Hall men's cross country runner to cross the finish line as the Pirates placed fourth at the Lafayette Preview, held Friday evening at Metzgar Fields Athletic Complex. Arumugam, competing in just his second collegiate race, clocked in at 18:48.9 in the 6K race.
Seton Hall had four athletes in the top-25 of the race. After Arumugam came junior Joseph Butler (Mechanicsburg, Pa.), who placed 18th with a time of 19:01.3. Then junior Logan Brunozzi (Churchville, Pa.) clocked in just behind Butler at 19:02.1, good for 19th. Senior Stephen Beaman (Johnston, Iowa) continued his strong start with a time of 19:06.4 to finish 24th.Â
Seton Hall will race again on Saturday, Sept. 14 at the Osprey Open taking place at Stockton University.
