Freshman Jada Eads (Orlando, Fla.) had a game-high 20 points to lift the Seton Hall women's basketball team to a 58-52 victory at Marquette on Wednesday.

The victory is the first ever for the program in Milwaukee, snapping a 0-14 record in road games at Marquette. The win improves The Hall to a perfect 4-0 on the road this season and 5-1 in BIG EAST Conference play.

Eads finished with a game-high 20 points to go with five rebounds and three steals. Graduate student Faith Masonius (Spring Lake, N.J.) tallied 14 points and eight rebounds, while Ja'Kahla Craft (Elk River, Minn.) collected a career-high 10 points to go with five rebounds and two steals.

In 2023-24, UConn went 33-6, including a perfect 18-0 record in BIG EAST play, capturing both the regular season and tournament titles. Â The team advanced to the Final Four of the 2024 NCAA Tournament on a miracle run with just six players in the regular rotation. Â UConn's top returners include two-time BIG EAST Player of the Year, redshirt senior Paige Bueckers, redshirt junior Azzi Fudd, sophomore KK Arnold, and reigning freshman of the year, Ashlynn Shade. UConn welcomed the No. 1-ranked recruit in the Class of 2024, freshman Sarah Strong who recently led the United States U18 3x3 team to gold at the FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup 2024 for her third-straight gold medal. Â Morgan Cheli and Allie Ziebell, the No. 7 and No. 11 ranked recruits by ESPN, respectively, begin their collegiate career with the Huskies. Â Princeton transfer graduate student guard Kaitlyn Chen will finish her career at UConn after being named the 2023 Ivy League Player of the Year.

So far this season, UConn is just as good as always. The Huskies enter their contest with the Pirates as the No. 6 ranked team in the country with a sparkling 16-2 overall record and a perfect 7-0 mark in conference play. Bueckers ranks second in the BIG EAST in scoring at 19.4 points per game, while Strong is the favorite to net BIG EAST Freshman of the Year. UConn currently ranks among the nation's top five in field goal percentage, fewest points allowed and fewest turnovers per game.
