
PIrates Close Fall Season in Delaware this Weekend

REHOBOTH BEACH, DEL. - The Seton Hall women' golf team will wrap up the 2025 fall season when it plays three rounds of golf at the 2025 Delaware Lady Blue Hen Invitational at Rehoboth Beach Country Club, Oct. 18-19.

The event also marks the return of head coach Jackie Mullens to Delaware where she spent the prior four years as an assistant and associate head coach.

THE COURSE:
Rehoboth Beach Country Club is the best golf course on the Eastern Shore inspiring golfers of all skill levels. Offering multiple tees, sculpted greens and fairways, challenging bunkers and ponds, as spectacular views greet golfers at every turn. Its proximity to the Rehoboth Bay provides a variety of changing winds and weather conditions which influence and enhance the experience.
Rehoboth Beach Country Club was the first golf course in Delaware to receive the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary designation from Audubon International in 2001. It is described as helping "golf courses protect our environment and preserve the natural heritage of the game of golf." Being located in the fragile inland bay region, Rehoboth Beach Country Club embraces this effort and is proud to be one of only 906 courses world-wide to receive this designation.

THE FIELD:
In addition to Seton Hall and host Delaware, the field is comprised of 10 other teams including: Dartmouth, Delaware State, Harvard, Pennsylvania, Quinnipiac, Sacred Heart, Yale and Youngstown State. BIG EAST opponents Georgetown and St. John's are also in the field.

THE FORMAT:
Teams will play five golfers and count the four lowest scores per round.

THE LINEUP:
Seton Hall will be bringing this lineup to Delaware:
Sophomore Marta Aguilar (Casares Malaga, Spain) shot a 4-over-par, 74, to lift the Pirates to a sixth-place finish at the 2025 UAlbany Great Danes Invitational on Monday. Aguilar had 14 pars on Monday in route to a team-best 4-over-par, 70. For the tournament, she tied for eighth among 80 individual golfers with a 10-over-par, 76-74-150.Â

As a team, the Pirates had to trudge through a second day of poor weather, but turned in one of the better rounds of the day. The Hall shot a 41-over-par, 321, on Monday. For the tournament, the Pirates placed sixth with a 72-over-par, 311-321-632. Boston University won the team title at 33-over-par. St. John's, Seton Hall's lone BIG EAST competition, came in second at 36-over-par.Â

LAST TIME AT REHOBOTH BEACH:
Aguilar and Kasumi Tran (Swansea, Wales) shot a 1-under-par, 71, to lift the Pirates to an eighth-place finish at last fall's Delaware Lady Blue Hen Invitational. Aguilar had five birdies and 10 pars in route to a 1-under-par, 71, while Tran had four birdies and 11 pars. Aguilar tied for 14th among 65 individual golfers with a 6-over-par, 78-73-71-222.Â

As a team, The Hall had its best round of the tournament with a 13-over-par, 301, in round three. For the tournament, the Pirates were 50-over-par with a 311-302-301-914. Host Delaware won the team title at 17-over-par. Two BIG EAST opponents were also in the field. Georgetown placed third at 21-over-par, while St. John's finished ninth at 54-over-par.

THE SCHEDULE:
The field will play two continuous rounds on Saturday, and one, final round on Sunday. There will be a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday and a 9:00 a.m. shotgun for Sunday's final round. Seton Hall will be paired with golfers from St. John's and Pennsylvania on Saturday.
