WEST ORANGE, N.J. – Sophomore Luke Nolan (Austin, Texas) earned a share of the individual title and helped lift the Seton Hall men's golf "B" team to the championship of the Metropolitan Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
Â
Nolan had three birdies in route to a 4-over-par, 74, in round two. The sophomore tied Wilmington's Noah Wallace for the individual title with a 6-over-par, 72-74-146. It's Nolan's first career victory and first career top-10 finish.
Â
With five Seton Hall golfers at the FAU Golf Invitational, the Pirates' "B" team was comprised of only the remaining four golfers on the roster. Therefore, everyone's score for both rounds would count towards the team score. Fortunately, that didn't matter as the Pirates rallied from a three-stroke deficit after round one to win the team title by three strokes.
Â
The Hall shot a 28-over-par, 308, in round two, but was able to surpass West Chester, which shot a 314 on Tuesday. For the tournament, the Pirates were 46-over-par with a 298-308-606.Â
Â
Freshman Blake Goodnight (Dallas, Texas) had three birdies in round two in route to a 7-over-par, 77. For the tournament, he tied for 11th among 64 individual golfers with an 11-over-par, 74-77-151.
Â
Senior Jack Bosworth (Daniel Island, S.C.) shot his second-consecutive 7-over-par, 77. For the tournament, he was 14-over-par with a 77-77-154. Junior Isaiah Williams (Flemington, N.J.) finished the event only one stroke behind Bosworth with a 15-over-par, 75-80-155.

Location:Â West Orange, N.J.
Course:Â Montclair Golf Club
Dates:Â October 27-28, 2025
Â
THE COURSE:
Founded in 1893, Montclair Golf Club is one of the nation's oldest golf clubs, which began as a single course in the Town of Montclair. By 1899, the first 18-hole course, designed by Tom Bendelow, was established roughly upon the location of the present-day first and second nines.
Â
Montclair Golf Club was one of the founding members of the Metropolitan Golf Association (MGA) in 1897. Three MGA presidents—Isaac "Ike" Grainger, Ken Gordon and Jack Kelsey—came from the Club ranks. Grainger also served as President of the United States Golf Association, as did member Charles Littlefield.
Â
Montclair's challenging greens have helped hone the game of many of the region's top players. In the words of Bobby Jones, Montclair is "the longest short course I ever played." It is also one of the few Clubs to have hosted both the Men's and Women's U.S. Amateur Championships.
Â
THE FIELD:
In addition to Seton Hall and host Wagner, the field included golfers from nine other schools:Â New Haven, Manhattan, Mercyhurst, Saint Peter's, West Chester and Wilmington (Del.).
Â
THE FORMAT:
With five Seton Hall golfers playing at the FAU Fall Invitational in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., the Pirates sent four golfers to compete as individuals to the Metropolitan Championship. The Hall did not compete as a team in this event.
Â
UP NEXT:
This concludes the 2025 fall season for Seton Hall. The Pirates will return to tournament action this spring for three rounds of golf at the Loyola Intercollegiate, Feb. 15-17.
