Â
AGAINST PACIFIC
Sunday's contest will be the first-ever game between Seton Hall and Pacific.
Â
SCOUTING PACIFIC
Pacific is coming off a 15-19 season last year, which included a 9-11 mark in West Coast Conference (WCC) play. The Tigers won two games in the WCC Tournament, but ran out of gas playing in their third game in three days in the quarterfinals against Washington State. Pacific earned an at large bid to the WNIT, but fell to New Mexico State, 54-49, at home in the opening round.
Â
This year, the Tigers were picked to finish eighth in the 12-team WCC according to the preseason coaches' poll. Pacific lost its top three scorers from a year ago, but brought in three freshmen in Liv Yergensen, Sophia Mindermann and LaMiracle Lebon alongside transfers Winner Bartholomew from Rider University, Mali Ennis from Saint Mary's, and Hannah Burg from Augustana.
Â
Pacific enters its contest with Seton Hall with a 1-2 overall record. The Tigers opened the season with a three-point win vs. UC San Diego, but have dropped their last two games. Pacific fell, 67-54, to Cal Baptist on Nov. 8, and most recently dropped a 60-52 decision at Cal on Tuesday. Bartholomew currently leads the team with 12.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Through three games, the Tigers are averaging only 58.3 points per game, while turning the ball over 21.3 times per contest.
Â
UP NEXT
