Seton Hall All-Time vs. the Tigers:Â Pirates lead, 13-10
Last Meeting: Princeton 78, Seton Hall 75 (F) – Nov. 21, 2024 (Walsh Gymnasium)
Â
AGAINST PRINCETON
Seton Hall and Princeton will continue their lengthy non-conference rivalry on Tuesday. The Pirates own a 13-10 all-time series lead, but Princeton has won the last three games, all of which have been decided by four point or less. Last season, the Pirates dropped a 78-75 decision to the Tigers in Walsh Gym. The Hall hasn't won in Jadwin Gym since a 70-60 victory on Dec. 11, 2021. This will be the 11th time in 12 seasons that these teams have played with the only disruption coming in 2020 due to COVID-19.
Â
SCOUTING PRINCETON
Princeton is coming off another fruitful season in 2024-25, which featured a 21-8 final record, including a 12-2 mark in the Ivy League. The Tigers were upset by Harvard in the semifinals of the Ivy League Tournament, but still earned an at large bid to the NCAA Tournament. Princeton lost to Iowa State, 68-63, in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. Ashley Chea was selected unanimously First-Team All-Ivy while Skye Belker and Fadima Tall were honored as second-team selections.  Parker Hill corralled Honorable Mention All-Ivy and Academic All-Ivy.
Â
This year, the Tigers were again picked as favorites to win the eight-team Ivy League according to the preseason coaches' poll. Princeton returns four starters from last year's NCAA Tournament team in Chea, Belker, Tall and Olivia Hutcherson. Also returning is Madison St. Rose, who was named to the 2026 Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Award Watchlist.
Â
Princeton enters its contest with Seton Hall with an impressive 7-1 overall record and having won their last five games. The Tigers' only loss came to No. 9 Maryland on the road back on Nov. 16. Seton Hall will be Princeton's third BIG EAST opponent already, having defeated Villanova, 73-68, on the road on Nov. 12, and most recently, routing DePaul, 71-41, on Sunday.  Five Tigers are currently averaging in double-figures in scoring with St. Rose leading the way at 17.0 points per contest.
Â
UP NEXT
Seton Hall will return to action on Thursday, Dec. 4 when it opens BIG EAST Conference play against Butler in historic Walsh Gymnasium. Tip time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The contest will be streamed live on ESPN+. 89.5 FM WSOU or wsou.net will also carry the game.
