NEW YORK, N.Y. — After their performances and coaching at the BIG EAST Swim and Dive Championships in Geneva, Ohio, swimmers Balint Marosi and Allie Waggoner, diver Nick Graham and diving coach Ben Mitchell all received BIG EAST honors.
Senior Allie Waggoner was named the unanimous 2025 Most Outstanding Women's Swimmer, punctuating her 2025 outing with a BIG EAST and school record-breaking swim to win the 1650 free for the third consecutive year with a time of 16:06.75. The record knocked over seven seconds off the previous BIG EAST-best set by West Virginia's Rachael Burnett in 2012. Alongside her mile win, she claimed BIG EAST titles in the 500 freestyle and 400 IM with times of 4:45.45 and 4:14.04, respectively.
Freshman Balint Marosi won co-Most Outstanding Men's Swimmer at the 2025 BIG EAST Championships, splitting the award with Xavier's Adien Leamer. Marosi won the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:46.21, as well as winning the 200 IM with a school-record time of 1:46.47. In his final individual event, Marosi finished second in the 100 backstroke with a time of 58.41. The first-year Pirate also swam on the event-winning, school record-breaking 800 free relay and 400 free relay squad.
Freshman diver Nick Graham was lauded the 2025 Most Outstanding Men's Diver after finishing second on both the one-meter and three-meter boards. Both finals went down to the final dive, with Graham earning scores of 329.85 and 367.75, respectively.
Seton Hall diving coach Ben Mitchell garnered Men's Diving Coach of the Year honors. Graham coached three Pirate divers into the one-meter final and two into the three-meter final. This was Mitchell's second win in the last three seasons, with his first win coming in 2023.
