
Arumugam Helps The Hall to Fourth at Jasper Fall Invite

MONTGOMERY, N.Y. – Seton Hall Men's cross continued its season at the Jasper Fall Invitational hosted by Manhattan University in Montgomery, N.Y. today, placing fourth in a 16-team field with 132 total points.
How it Happened
At the top of the timing sheets for the Pirates with the best performance in his Seton Hall career was sophomore Aakash Arumugam. The California native turned a strong first 4000 meters into a career-best 6th place finish overall with a time of 25:00.20.
Following Arumugam, senior Logan Brunozzi crossed the line as the second finisher for The Hall. The Churchville, Pa native finished in tenth place overall, earning his second-consecutive top-ten finish, with a time of 25:21.9.
Stephen Beaman secured the Pirates another top-20 finisher when he crossed the line in 19th as the third Pirate to cross the line. Beaman's time of 25:38.90 pushed his streak of being a top-three Pirate finisher to eight races.
Next across the line for the Pirates was junior Michael Kelton. Kelton crossed the timing line with a mark of 26:32.00 in 59th place overall and fourth on The Hall. While not his highest intra-team finish, it is his best in any meet where the entire Pirates lineup has competed.
Rounding out the scoring squad for Seton Hall was senior Anthony Cary. After scoring points for the Pirates in many meets last season, Cary got back onto the scoresheet with a 62nd-place finish and a time of 26.34.20.

The Pirates will continue their season next Saturday, September 20, when they travel to New Britian, Conn. to compete in the Ted Owen Invitational.
