THE GAME
Seton Hall will be back in action on Saturday, January 24 when it returns to historic Walsh Gymnasium to host defending national champion, Connecticut. Tip time is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. ET.

MEDIA
The game will be streamed on Peacock and simulcasted on NBC Sports Network with Adam Giardino and Julieanne Viani-Braen on the call. As usual, the game will also be available over the airwaves at 89.5 FM WSOU or wsou.net. Chris Heite and Sean Casey will describe the action on the radio. Live stats will also be available.

WSOU is also airing a post-game "Hall Line" show following its women's basketball games. Be sure to tune in after the final buzzer.

PROMOTION
The game is being presented by Delta Dental and all fans in attendance can grab a pompom to help cheer on the Pirates against the defending national champions.

LAST GAME
Five Pirates scored at least nine points and the Seton Hall women's basketball team turned a two-point battle at the half into a 73-57 victory on Tuesday in Walsh Gymnasium.

Mired in a defensive affair for the first half, Seton Hall's offense broke out with a 30-point third quarter, and a 14-2 run catapulted it to victory.

Junior Savannah Catalon (Mansfield, Texas) had a game-high 19 points, while Mariana Valenzuela (Mazatlan, Mexico) added 15 points and a team-best eight rebounds. Zahara Bishop (Minneapolis, Minn.), the reigning BIG EAST Freshman of the Week, had 12 points, six rebounds and three steals, while Jordana Codio (Winter Garden, Fla.) finished with 10 points and six rebounds.

Shailyn Pinkney (East Hartford, Conn.), thrust into the starting point guard role due to an injury to Jada Eads, collected a career-high nine assists with only one turnover.

AGAINST CONNECTICUT
Seton Hall and Connecticut will meet for the second time this season on Sunday. The Huskies own a commanding 62-10 all-time series lead and have won the last 42 games against the Pirates. Seton Hall's last victory over UConn in Walsh Gym came on Jan. 5, 1994.

EARLIER THIS YEAR AGAINST CONNECTICUT
Junior Savannah Catalon (Mansfield, Texas) finished with 11 points and seven rebounds, but the Seton Hall women's basketball team fell at No. 1 Connecticut, 84-48, at PeoplesBank Arena on Jan. 3.

Seton Hall showed fight in the first quarter, but wore down as Connecticut's full-court press took its toll. Without point guard Jada Eads (Orlando, Fla.), who missed the game and is day-to-day, the Pirates committed 20 turnovers in the first half while navigating the Huskies' pressure. Senior Jordana Codio (Winter Garden, Fla.) finished with a team-high 12 points. Catalon had 11 points and team-highs of seven rebounds and four steals. Mariana Valenzuela (Mazatlan, Mexico) added eight points and four rebounds.

SCOUTING CONNECTICUT
Connecticut has not skipped a beat since last playing Seton Hall on Jan. 3. The defending national champions enter Saturday's contest as the country's top-ranked team with a perfect 20-0 record overall and a 10-0 mark in BIG EAST play. The Huskies are coming off an 83-42 victory at Georgetown on Thursday and have been defeating its opponents by an average margin of victory of +38.8 points per game. Sarah Strong, the leading contender for national player of the year, currently ranks in the top-4 in the BIG EAST in scoring, rebounding, assists, steals and blocks.
