Seton Hall used a 12-0 run to close the third quarter to grab its first lead since the start of the game and fuel a huge second half that saw the Pirates dominate Marquette on the glass. For the game, the Pirates won the rebounding battle, 44-to-26.Â

Seton Hall All-Time vs. the Blue Demons:Â DePaul leads, 24-12
Earlier This Year:Â
Seton Hall 86, DePaul 77 (F) – Jan. 17, 2026 (Wintrust Arena)
Â
AGAINST DE PAUL
Seton Hall and DePaul will meet for the second time this season with the Pirates looking for their third consecutive season sweep. The Blue Demons have a 24-12 all-time series lead, but The Hall has won five games in a row in the series and seven of the last eight. The Pirates have won the last three games against the Blue Demons in Walsh Gym.
Â
EARLIER THIS YEAR AGAINST DE PAUL
Three Pirates scored at least 20 points and the Seton Hall women's basketball team outlasted a pesky DePaul squad, 86-77, on the road on Jan. 17.
Â
The game was a shootout from the start with both teams finishing the game shooting better than 47 percent from the floor. Ultimately, the Pirates were able to outlast the Blue Demons, shooting 50 percent in the second half to pull away. The Pirates had to play the majority of the game without point guard Jada Eads (Orlando, Fla.) who was lost just 2:42 into the game with an injury.
Â
Junior Savannah Catalon (Mansfield, Texas) finished with a game-high 24 points with four rebounds, three assists and two steals. Jordana Codio (Winter Garden, Fla.) and Zahara Bishop (Minneapolis, Minn.) each poured in a career-high in scoring. Codio had 22 points to go with six rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals, while Bishop finished with 21 points on an efficient 8-for-10 shooting.
Â
SCOUTING DE PAUL
DePaul enters Saturday's contest with a 6-20 overall record and a 3-12 mark in BIG EAST play. Since last playing The Hall in Chicago the Blue Demons have gone 2-4 with victories over Creighton, and most recently, a 72-68 victory over St. John's on Tuesday. Kate Novik is leading the team in both scoring and rebounding with 12.3 points and 6.6 rebounds respectively. DePaul is allowing a league-worst 72.69 points per contest and has the worst field goal percentage (.380) in the BIG EAST.
Â
BYE WATCH
The top five teams in the final BIG EAST standings will earn a bye for the first round of the BIG EAST Tournament next month. Currently, Seton Hall is in third place, 2.5 games ahead of the sixth-place team, Creighton, with only five games remaining. Seton Hall and Creighton split their season series, head-to-head, so the second tie breaker is their respective success against the top teams in the conference. Unless Creighton defeats UConn or Villanova, Seton Hall will win the tie-breaker over the Bluejays by virtue of it's season sweep of Marquette.
Â
UP NEXT
Seton Hall will return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 18 when it travels to Cincinnati to take on BIG EAST rival Xavier. Tip time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The contest will be streamed by ESPN+. 89.5 FM WSOU or wsou.net will also carry the game.
