Aguilar Claims Space Coast Classic Title; Breaks Records
2/22/2026 6:09:00 PM | Women's Golf
MELBOURNE, FLA. – Sophomore Marta Aguilar (Casares Malaga, Spain) tied Seton Hall's tournament record with a 6-under-par, 210, in the Space Coast Classic, and in doing so, became the first Seton Hall women's golfer to win three career tournaments.
Â
Aguilar had a birdie and 15 pars in Sunday's round three in route to a 1-over-par, 73. As impressive as today's performance was, it doesn't match the combined 7-under-par she shot in rounds one and two yesterday. It was good enough, however, to share the individual title with Emory's Zimo Li and Dartmouth's Olivia Cong, finishing with a 6-under-par, 68-69-73-210.
Â
Aguilar's 6-under-par, 210, ties Sarah Fouratt's records for most strokes under par for a tournament and lowest par-72, three-round score. Her victory is her third in only 16 career tournaments, breaking a tie with former Seton Hall golfers Mia Kness and Erin McClure for most individual tournament titles.
Â
As a team, The Hall shot a 17-over-par, 305, in Sunday's round three. For the tournament, it placed seventh in the field of 14 teams with a 37-over-par, 292-304-305-901. Dartmouth won the team title and was the only team in the field to shoot under par at -3. The lone other BIG EAST opponent in the field, St. John's, placed ninth at 51-over-par.
Â
Junior Renee Rane (New Delhi, India) had two birdies and 12 pars on her way to a 3-over-par, 75. For the tournament, she tied for 20th place among 78 individual golfers with a 7-over-par, 70-78-75-223.
Â
Freshman Isabella Stewart (Wicklow, Ireland) had a birdie ad 14 pars in a strong 4-over-par, 76, in round three. For the three-round event, she tied for 35th place with a 12-over-par, 73-79-76-228.
Â
Senior Anne-Sofie Ekman (Copenhagen, Denmark) shot a 10-over-par, 82, on Sunday. For the event, she finished at 25-over-par with a 81-78-82-241.
Â
Rounding out the Pirates' lineup, junior Kasumi Tran (Swansea, Wales) carded a 9-over-par, 81, in round three. She finished the tournament with a 30-over-par, 83-82-81-246.
Â
Senior Lara Todorovic (Belgrade, Serbia), playing as an individual, shot an 18-over-par, 90, in round three.

THE COURSE:
Upon visiting Duran Golf Club, golfers will find rolling terrain — characteristic of a links-style layout — accompanied by mild mounding around the large, undulating greens; sparkling lakes and ponds; sweeping doglegs; native landscaping; grasses and palm trees. Duran is located near the Atlantic Ocean, so the coastal breezes can add great variety to your game here. The par fives can be stout three-shot tests or tempting "go-in-two" holes.
Any golf course can say that it is unique or plays to every skill level, but Duran Golf Club has definitely set itself apart in its ability to appeal to the very talented golfer, as well as the shorter hitters or those still developing their game. Players at Duran are always amazed at the loving care and attention we give to our greens that putt fast and true. You'll also love the quality of our tees, fairways and roughs.
Â
THE FIELD:
In addition to Seton Hall and host Columbia, the field included 11 other schools: Albany, Dartmouth, Duquesne, Emory, Holy Cross, Lipscomb, Notre Dame, Pennsylvania, Quinnipiac and Sacred Heart. Fellow BIG EAST competitor, St. John's, is also in the field.Â
