GLENCOE, ALA. - The Seton Hall women's golf team will continue spring tournament play this weekend with three rounds of golf at the Chris Banister Golf Classic, hosted by Jacksonville State University at Silver Lakes Golf Course, March 8-10.
Â
Tournament Details:
CHRIS BANISTER GOLF CLASSIC
Host:Â Jacksonville State University
Location:Â Glencoe, Ala.
Course:Â Silver Lakes Golf Club
Course Vitals:Â Par-72, 5,700-6,000 yards
Dates:Â March 8-10, 2026
Â
THE COURSE:
Relax in the beauty of Northeast Alabama's stunning landscape as you explore 36 holes of forests, wetlands, grasslands and dramatic elevation changes at Silver Lakes. The Heartbreaker, Backbreaker, Mindbreaker, and Short course provide challenging and scenic varieties of holes to play. Surrounded by the Appalachian foothills and Lee's Lake, Silver Lakes features the most unique and aptly named courses on The Trail and all 36 greens boast beautiful and lightning-quick Champion Ultradwarf putting surfaces.
Â
The Mindbreaker is an unforgettable blend of shorter, elusive holes set in a beautiful sanctuary of woods, water, and wetlands. The Heartbreaker nine provides a unique mix of great golf holes and unequaled character. The final three holes showcase elevation changes and dramatic lake vistas.
Â
THE FIELD:
In addition to Seton Hall and host Jacksonville State, the field includes 14 other schools:Â Akron, Alabama-Birmingham, Bradley, Central Michigan, Eastern Kentucky, Indiana State, Jacksonville, Longwood, North Dakota, Samford, Tennessee, Tennessee-Chattanooga, Troy and West Georgia.
Â
THE FORMAT:
Teams will play five golfers and count the four lowest scores per round.
Â
THE LINEUP:
Here's the lineup the Pirates will be bringing to Alabama…
Â
1.          Marta Aguilar, Sophomore
2.          Renee Rane, Junior
3.          Isabella Stewart, Freshman
4.          Kasumi Tran, Junior
5.          Anne-Sofie Ekman, Senior
Â
Individual:Â Lara Todorovic, Senior
Â
LAST TIME OUT:
Sophomore Marta Aguilar (Casares Malaga, Spain) tied Seton Hall's tournament record with a 6-under-par, 210, in the Space Coast Classic, and in doing so, became the first Seton Hall women's golfer to win three career tournaments.
Â
Aguilar had a birdie and 15 pars in the final round on Feb. 22 in route to a 1-over-par, 73. As impressive as today's performance was, it doesn't match the combined 7-under-par she shot in rounds one and two yesterday. It was good enough, however, to share the individual title with Emory's Zimo Li and Dartmouth's Olivia Cong, finishing with a 6-under-par, 68-69-73-210.
Â
As a team, The Hall shot a 17-over-par, 305, in the round three. For the tournament, it placed seventh in the field of 14 teams with a 37-over-par, 292-304-305-901. Dartmouth won the team title and was the only team in the field to shoot under par at -3. The lone other BIG EAST opponent in the field, St. John's, placed ninth at 51-over-par.
Â
THE SCHEDULE:
The teams will play 54 holes over three days with 18 holes being played each day, Sunday through Tuesday. The field will play the "Mindbreaker" nine-hole course, followed by the "Heartbreaker" nine-hole course each day.
Â
THE RESULTS:
Live scoring will be available throughout the tournament via Scoreboard.clippd.com. Complete results of each day's events will also be available following competition at SHUpirates.com.
