Nolan's Ace Highlights Final Round at Bandon Dunes

BANDON, ORE. – Sophomore Luke Nolan (Austin, Texas) shot a 2-under-par, 69, in Tuesday's final round to lift the Seton Hall men's golf team to a ninth-place finish at the 2026 Bandon Dunes Championship.

Nolan had four birdies, and the highlight of his young collegiate career, a hole-in-one on the par-3, No. 11 hole to power his team-best round. The effort rocketed him up the final individual leaderboard to a tie for 35th place with a 4-over-par, 74-74-69-217.Â

As a team, The Hall had its best collective round of the tournament on Tuesday, a 3-over-par, 287. For the three-day event, the Pirates placed ninth in the uber-competitive field with a 16-over-par, 288-293-287-868. Oregon State won the team title going away at 31-over-par.

The top Seton Hall performer for the tournament was Will Hennessee (Tulsa, Okla.), who was playing as an individual. The sophomore used two birdies and 13 pars in round three to card a 1-over-par, 72. For the tournament, he tied for 18th place in the field of 96 individual golfers with a 1-under-par, 72-68-72-212. Oregon State's Nguyen Anh Minh won the individual title by six strokes at 13-under-par.

It's Hennessee's fifth career sub-par tournament, that despite being only a sophomore, already ranks ninth-most in program history.

Senior David Lally (Wicklow, Ireland) and freshman Blake Goodnight (Dallas, Texas) both had strong tournaments and ended up tied for 23rd overall at 1-over-par for the tournament. Lally had four birdies in round three to fuel a 1-over-par, 72. He shot a 69-73-72-214 for the tournament. Goodnight had two birdies and 14 pars to fire an even-par, 71, on Tuesday. His tournament featured a 70-73-71-214.

Junior Isaiah Williams (Flemington, N.J.) shot a 4-over-par, 75, on Tuesday. For the three-round event, he was 10-over-par with a 75-73-75-223.

George Fricker (Woodbridge, England) rounded out Seton Hall's team scoring and also shot a 4-over-par, 75, in round three. For the tournament, he was 13-over-par with a 77-74-75-226.

Eli Shah (Newtown Square, Pa.) joined Hennessee in competing as individuals this week. The junior had three birdies on Tuesday for his second-consecutive 1-over-par, 72. For the tournament, he tied Nolan for 35th place with a consistent 4-over-par, 73-72-72-217.
