
Aguilar Leads Hall in Round Two at Banister Classic

GLENCOE, ALA. – Marta Aguilar (Casares Malaga, Spain) shot a 7-over-par, 79, on Monday to lead the Seton Hall women's golf team in round two at the Chris Banister Golf Classic.

Aguilar had one bad hole, a nine on the par-5, No. 9 hole, which damaged an otherwise solid second round. For the tournament, Aguilar is in 19th place among 93 individual golfers with a 9-over-par, 74-79-153. A trio of individual golfers share the lead at 1-over-par with 18 holes left to play.

Collectively, The Hall struggled a bit in on Monday with a 41-over-par, 329. The Hall dropped to 13th place after two rounds with a 60-over-par, 307-329-636. No. 21 Tennessee is the team leader at 7-over-par.Â

Freshman Isabella Stewart (Wicklow, Ireland) shot an 11-over-par, 83, in round two. For the tournament, she's tied for 41st place with a 13-over-par, 74-83-157.

Junior Renee Rane (New Delhi, India) had an 8-over-par, 80, in round two. For the tournament, she's tied for 46th place with a 15-over-par, 79-80-159.

Junior Kasumi Tran (Swansea, Wales) struggled in round two with a 16-over-par, 88. She's 24-over-par after 36 holes with an 80-88-168.

Senior Anne-Sofie Ekman (Copenhagen, Denmark) finished her round two with a 15-over-par, 87. After two rounds, she's 31-over-par with an 88-87-175.

Teams will play five golfers and count the four lowest scores per round.

THE SCHEDULE:
The teams will play 54 holes over three days with 18 holes being played each day, Sunday through Tuesday. The field will play the "Mindbreaker" nine-hole course, followed by the "Heartbreaker" nine-hole course each day.
