South Orange, N.J. – Kileigh Gorman and Gianna Angelillo both found the back of the net as the Seton Hall women's soccer team notched a 2-1 win in its season opener on Sunday night. With the win, the Pirates are victorious in their season opener for the third consecutive season.

How it Happened
The action got started quick for Seton Hall, scoring early on in the match to gain the advantage. Building from the back of the formation, Cassidy Brown slipped a pass forward to Angelillo as the Pirates looked to move upfield. The senior played a perfect pass through the FDU defense to the foot of Gorman, who struck one with his right foot past the goalkeeper to open the scoring.

FDU looked poised to equalize soon afterward in the ninth minute, as a chance at the top of the penalty area was snuffed out by Pirate keeper Kate Kleinsmith. However, the Knights would find their goal soon after, as a goal from Ana Salas in the 21^st minute leveled things at 1-1.

After halftime, both teams continued to jockey for momentum as heavy rain began to move over South Orange. Seton Hall's persistence would pay off in the 65^th minute, as a tough tackle in the 18-yard box awarded the Pirates a penalty kick. Angelillo stepped up to the spot and buried her first goal of the year to cap a three-point night.
