The Pirates never trailed in the contest, opening up a 13-1 lead to start the game. The Braves would get no closer than 10 points the rest of the way.
Seton Hall used its height advantage to seize a 41-23 rebounding edge. Freshman Leslie Ardon (Trinite, French West Indies) led all rebounders with nine while contributing 13 points. The Pirates shot 49.2 percent from the floor, including 61.5 percent in the second half.
Sophomore Toronda Hayes (Columbus, OH) and freshman Synia Willis (Cherry Hill, NJ) each added nine points for the Pirates, who had all 11 players who played score. Freshman Cecilia Lindqvist (Huskvarna, Sweden), in her first game of the season since being cleared to play by the NCAA on Wednesday, Dec. 15, had two points, one assist and one steal in 10 minutes of action.
Quinnipiac was led by Colleen Klopp's 12 points and 10 points apiece from Kim Misiaszek and Tiffany Steele.
Seton Hall returns to action on Wednesday, Dec. 22, when the Pirates travel to Loyola (MD) for a 7:00 p.m. game.
