Volleyball Drops Season Finale to Rutgers, 3-1

The loss sets the Pirates' final record at 10-19 overall and 2-9 in the BIG EAST, while Rutgers improves to 22-6 overall and 9-2 in BIG EAST conference play.
Seton Hall won the first game 16-14, but early in the second game the Scarlet Knights used a 13-0 run to shift the momentum for good.
The Pirates were led by junior Paige Ellertson (Mount Holly Springs, PA) who tallied a triple-double with ten kills, 22 assists, and 11 digs. Ellertson's ten kills came on 18 attempts with only two errors for a team-leading .444 hitting percentage.
Freshman Jackie Neely (Indianapolis, IN) had a team-high 13 kills.
Sophomore Sarah Ahlers (Emmett, ID) and freshman Jenna Meyers (Camarillo, CA) had solid defensive matches with 11 digs each.
Junior Alyson Furch (Tempe, AZ) recorded a team-best eight block assists.
This concludes the 2000 Seton Hall Pirates volleyball season.
