Women's Basketball Falls to Ohio State, 76-38

COLUMBUS, OH (Nov. 29, 2000) - Center LaToya Turner scored a game-high 18 points and pulled down eight rebounds to lead Ohio State to a 76-38 win over Seton Hall at the Value City Arena.
Seton Hall drops to 2-2 while Ohio State remains unbeaten at 4-0.
The Pirates and the Buckeyes were tied at 13 midway through the first half but Ohio State closed the period with a 21-5 run to take at 34-18 lead into the locker room.
Ohio State shot an even 50-percent from the floor (30-for-60) while holding the cold-shooting Pirates to a season-low 28.6 percent (12-for-42).
Junior center Susan Murray (Mississauga, Ontario) was the lone Seton Hall player to in double-figures as she scored 10 points. Freshman forward Charlene Thomas (Chester, PA) pulled down eight rebounds in her first career start.
The Pirates connected on a season-high 82.4 percent (14-for-17) from the free-throw line. Seton Hall also held a 32-31 rebounding edge over Ohio State, marking the fourth straight game that the Pirates have outrebounded their opponent.
Seton Hall returns to action on Saturday, Dec. 2 when it hosts Loyola (MD) in a 2 p.m. game at Walsh Gymnasium.
