Volleyball Falls to Akron, 3-0, at Diet Coke Classic

Seton Hall was led by sophomore Kari Belin (Hagerstown, MD), who had a hitting percentage of .333 with a team-best six kills. Sophomore Sarah Ahlers (Emmett, ID) and freshman Jackie Neely (Indianapolis, IN) also had six kills apiece, but the Pirate offense managed just a .117 hitting percentage. Neely added a team-high nine digs, but Akron hit .261 for the match.
Sophomore Tara Brooks (Alberta, Canada) led the Pirates in blocking with four block assits. Seton Hall had seven team blocks.
The Diet Coke Classic continues on Saturday, Sept. 16. Seton Hall will take on host Minnesota at 1 p.m. and Tennessee at 6 p.m.
