Cross Country Competes at Metropolitan Championships

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Seton Hall cross country teams were in action on Friday as they competed in the Metropolitan Championships at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. The women's team placed 8th out of nine teams with a score of 226 while members of the men's team competed individually.
Freshman David Alfano (West Orange, NJ) paced the men's team with a 13th place finish. Alfano completed the course in 26:02.4. Junior Justin Wood (Walton, N.Y.) ran the course in 27.37.2 to finish 65th.
Freshman Kerry Cahill ran the course in 19:46 to lead the Seton Hall women with a 19th place finish. Sophomore Crystal Anyanwu (Beltsville, Md.) finished in 38th place in a time of 20:26.
Seton Hall cross country will return to action on Friday, October 8th. The Pirates will compete in the Monmouth Invitational at Holmdel Park in Holmdel, N.J.
