
Cross Country Runs at BIG EAST Championships

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Seton Hall men's and women's cross country teams competed at the BIG EAST Championships on Saturday. The men placed 13th out of 15 squads, while the women finished 16th out of 16.
Junior Pawel Kornaszewski (Clifton, N.J.) was the top male finisher for the Pirates. He finished 47th and completed the course in 25:14.75. The women were paced once again by senior Kerry Cahill (Hillsborough, N.J.) who took 56th place. Cahill crossed the finish line in 22:22.60.
For the rest of the men, junior Terrance Gallogly (Providence, R.I.) placed 72nd (26:19.80), freshman Thomas Corona (Fairfield, Conn.) took 83rd (26:47.30), junior Rob Novak (Bordentown, N.J.) finished 89th (27:20.80), and senior Justin McKenzie (Upper Marlboro, Md.) was 91st (27:45.80).
On the women's side, freshman Alexandra Hehn (Toms River, N.J.) finished 92nd (24:13.65), junior Chavanne Hubbard (Somerset, N.J.) placed 101st (24:53.35), sophomore Jackie Hobbs (Monroe, N.C.) was 104th (25:10.65), and freshman Madison Wrest took 106th (25:25.80).
