Ebonie Williams Earns BIG EAST All-Freshman Honors

Williams averaged a team-high 11.6 points per game, making her the first freshman to lead the Pirates in scoring since Debbie Hartnett in the 1985-86 season. A starter in 27 of 28 games, she also averaged 2.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists.
Williams was Seton Hall’s top scorer 11 times in her debut campaign and reached double figures in 17 contests. She scored a career-high 21 points at Northwestern on Dec. 6, earning her the BIG EAST Rookie of the Week Award. Williams’ 38 made 3-pointers were the eighth most in single season history at the Hall, and her 81.8 percent free throw shooting ties for 11th on the single season list.
Williams becomes the 13th Pirate named to the BIG EAST All-Freshman Team, and the first since both Monique Blake and Heta Korpivaara earned the honor in the 2003-04 season.
