Womack Named All-Met Second Team

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. Seton Hall junior Noteisha Womack (Washington, D.C.) has been named to the 2007-08 All-Met Second Team by the National Invitation Tournament and the Met Basketball Writers Association.

Womack led the BIG EAST and was ninth in the nation with 10.5 rebounds per game.  She was Seton Hall’s second-leading scorer with 10.0 points per game and recorded eight double-doubles on the season.

Womack hit several milestones this season, grabbing both her 500^th career rebound and scoring her 500^th career point.  She was named Tournament MVP of the San Diego State Surf N Slam on Dec. 31 and BIG EAST Player of the Week on Dec. 31.  Womack also set new career-highs with 26 points against Quinnipiac and 21 rebounds at Northwestern.

Epiphanny Prince of Rutgers was named the 2007-08 All-Met Division I women’s college basketball player of the year.
