
Cross Country Competes at Old Nassau Run

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Seton Hall cross country teams were back at it at the Old Nassau Run, hosted by Princeton. The women’s team finished 12th and the men placed eighth.
Senior Pawel Kornaszewski (Clifton, N.J.) was the men’s top finisher, running the eight kilometer race in 26:28.70 to finish 21st. For the women, freshman Alyssa Barrow (Millville, N.J.) paced the team with an 86th place finish (25:35.70).
Sophomore Tom Corona (Fairfield, Conn.) finished 45th (25:25.20), senior Terrance Gallogly (Providence, R.I.) was 48th (27:31.80), sophomore Dwight Parker (Randallstown, Md.) placed 69th (28:42.80). Seniors Rob Novak (Bordentown, N.J.) and Nick Campbell (Warwick, R.I.) were 82nd (29:11.20) and 90th, respectively. Freshman Andrew O'Leary (Liverpool, N.Y.) finished 98th (32:31.60).
Junior Stafford McFarlane (Norwalk, Conn.) was the only male to run the 6K race, and finished 59th (22:11.50).
Senior Chavanne Hubbard (Somerset, N.J.) finished 90th (25:45.00), sophomore Alexandra Hehn (Toms River, N.J.) placed 93rd (25:57.40), junior Diane Szaflarski (Clifton, N.J.) was 115th (27:01.30), sophomore Madison Wrest (Edmonds, Wash.) finished 127th (27:53.10), sophomore KeAira Dickerson (Wilmington, Del.) placed 139th (29:07.70), and senior Jackie Hobbs (Monroe, N.C.) was 145th (32:45.10).
The Pirates return to action on Saturday, September 20, at the Maryland Eastern Shore Cappy Anderson Invitational.
