
Womack Named All-Met First Team; Williams on Second Team

Womack led the BIG EAST and was 13th in the nation with 10.6 rebounds per game. She was Seton Hall’s second-leading scorer with 12.4 points per game and recorded 13 double-doubles on the season.
Womack set a senior-season record at the Hall with 297 rebounds and leaves the program ranked seventh on the career list with 799 boards. She also ranks third all-time at the school with a career field goal percentage of 52.1 percent. In her final campaign, Womack earned three nods to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
As a junior, Womack was a Second Team All-Met selection.
For the second straight season, Williams led the Pirates in scoring, averaging 13.2 points. She finished 18th overall in the BIG EAST in scoring and ranked seventh in 3-point field goal shooting at 38.3 percent. Williams was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2008 Seton Hall Classic.
Marist swept the individual awards, with junior Rachele Fitz earning Player of the Year honors and Brian Giorgis claiming the Maggie Dixon Coach of the Year Award.
